So I have talked about products that I was disappointed by a couple of times here on my blog (you can have a read here and here), but I have never dedicated a post to makeup that is worth the hype it gets online. I tried to get a mix of cult classics that have been loved for a long time, alongside some more recent hyped items and give you my two cents on them!

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

So it took me ages to try this! Partly because it was hard to get hold of in the UK and also because I didn’t know what shade I’d be. I have opted for Fair Neutral which is slightly too light for my preferences but I can make it work. This is the fullest coverage concealer I have ever tried! For that reason, I wasn’t sure if I enjoyed it all that much at first. But I learnt that a little goes a long way and it packs a coverage punch without the intense triangles under my eyes. I add two small-ish dabs of this and it is all I need for my under eyes! This also worked as a foundation in the Winter when I am my palest (not that I get all that more tanned in Summer but I hate looking ghostly during the warm months). I would love for Tarte to become more readily available in the UK so I can shade match my self properly too. I understand why everyone who wants coverage loves it – this is like nothing I have ever tried before coverage-wise and it isn’t drying either.

RCMA No Color Powder – This product is a major throwback and has a deserved place in my makeup collection for a long time! Admittedly I have flit between powders since purchasing this in 2016 (!!!) but I also love using this every so often and remember why I love it so much. I have used about a third of the tub in 4 years which is crazy so you get so much bang for your buck. It sets everything down without making me look cakey or crepey. I love this if I want my makeup to stay put but want radiance to show through. I definitely prefer it in Winter when I am more dry than combination. I am definitely more inspired to use this after this blog post!

Milk Baked Cream Bronzer

This product is based on the fact that I always hear woes of it being out of stock, proving it is a very popular product! This is the product that really got me into cream products. First of all, you get sooooo much for your money – I think I am going to be buried with this haha! The formula is so creamy that it blends out so seamlessly and gives a beautiful, naturally bronzed effect. You can read my full review here!

Colourpop Flexitarian

This is the highlighter that got me into glossy, high shine finishes. Before Flexitarian I thought I was done with intense highlighters because I didn’t like how they looked. The Super Shock Cheek formula lends itself well to melting into the skin a bit more which helps it look more at one with your skin. This is definitely the most reflective highlighter I own, but when blended in with fingers or a sponge it provides just the right amount of intense shine. I have reviewed this product in more detail, which can be read here.

Fenty Gloss Bomb

I have to say, this may be my favourite lip product of ALL TIME! I. Just. LOOOOOVE. It!!!! I am such a gloss girl and this is the perfect formula in my eyes. Super creamy and glossy without being sticky. It lasts pretty well on me considering it is a gloss too. It is sheer enough to wear with a lip colour underneath, but pigmented enough to wear alone too. I have Fenty Glow and Fu$$y which are equally beautiful in my eyes. I love how much you get in the tube for the price, the bigger doe foot means you can quickly apply and the scent is to die for!!! I don’t leave the house without one. I have also reviewed both shades, if you’d like to read a comparison – have a read.

I think there are definitely lots of products I own that are worth the hype, but I didn’t want this blog post to be too long ahaha! These are just items I have been especially impressed with and reach for quite regularly. I might do a skincare version of this if you’d be interested in that.

What products have been worth the hype for you? Let me know!
