Following up from my makeup haul last week, I couldn’t wait to start reviewing some of my new items for you guys. Starting off with one of the products I am the most excited about – the Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in Baked.

I have had my eye on this product for a year or so now, ever since I saw Anna from The Anna Edit haul it from one of her trips to the USA. I am really getting into cream products and with summer coming up, I knew I would get a lot of use out of this bronzer. I knew I had to pick it up when Cult Beauty had a 20% off Milk Makeup promo.

Starting off with the packaging, I am a big fan of Milk’s aesthetic and I like the packaging for that reason. It is quite minimal and no fuss, but I think that is what makes it stand out to me. The product is kinda like a roll-up deodorant and is quite chunky to give achieve an overall bronze-y effect as opposed to a precise, chiseled look. You get a whopping 28g of product which I think is insane and great value for money – I know this product is gonna last me a very long time since a little goes a long way!

I was worried that the shade Baked would be pull a little orange on me but once you blend the cream out, it gives a diffused, sheer layer of warmth that makes you look really sun kissed. I’m sure if you built up the colour this bronzer would give you an intense bronzey look (I use bronzer quite sparingly because of my fairer skin). The fact that this product is matte really aids to the look of a natural tan, whether you want a subtle layer of colour, or a beach babe bronze effect. I know this product will look great with any makeup look – minimal makeup or full glam.

I really love the formula of this product. I can’t get over how blendable and creamy it is. It takes only a few movements of your makeup brush or sponge to spread the colour evenly. This cream bronzer builds on itself really well, which gives you a bit of customization depending on the makeup look or skin tone. The blend-ability of this product means that makeup underneath isn’t disrupted or messed around, which was part of the reason I was put off cream products to begin with.

I was surprised by how long this lasted on my skin. I think I assumed that cream products didn’t last as long, although that might be because I have a dry skin type. I do typically set my cream products with a bit of translucent powder so that might aid the wear time of this product. I have tried this product alone or layered underneath a powder bronzer and liked the look of both.

Overall, I am very impressed with this product. I think I have found my perfect cream bronzer. Everything from the formula, the tone and the value for money all make the Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in Baked a great purchase. I can’t wait to reach for this all summer long and fake that summer tan of my dreams!

What is your fave cream bronzer? πŸ™‚
