Sorry things have been a bit quiet here. My laptop is on its last legs (waaah) and more excitedly, I *just* started a new job so I am still settling into my new routine. I am enjoying it so far and I’m excited about having a bit of money to spend here and there on myself now I’m not a student anymore. I have loads of Autumn/Winter content planned but wanted to hold off (till next week 😂😅) since it is only officially Autumn as of yesterday! I am so excited for this time of year (as always) and I hope you guys will like my seasonal content. 🎃🍁🍂👻
Anyway, today I wanted to review the (relatively) new Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine glosses. I hauled these a few months ago but never got around to reviewing them and I loved them so much that I had to share my thoughts with you guys.
I know gloss isn’t super popular compared to liquid lipstick but I looooooooove lip gloss and I always get excited to try new formulas and shades. These glosses from Urban Decay got a lot of buzz when they released so I knew I had to pick one or two up.
The formula is what I love most about these lip glosses. It is really light whilst giving amazing shine, colour and hydration, without being too sticky. You have a lot of control with the intensity of the look as well, you can go for a sheer layer – or build it up for a full on, juicy lip. They last pretty well considering they are a gloss, it is obviously not gonna last forever but I was impressed with the longevity.
They also smell, sooooooo nice! They have a sweet mint scent which not only tastes good, but kinda feels like it is plumping your lips a bit whilst you’re applying it because of the tingling sensation.
I went for the shades Midnight Cowgirl and Fuel which are both nude shades. Midnight Cowgirl has a gold shimmer which gives a really juicy look to the lips, whereas Fuel is a nude cream and is just slightly deeper than my natural lip colour so I love it for everyday. I can wear both shades alone, or pair Midnight Cowgirl with a nude lipstick for some extra shine and dimension. They have such a good shade range that I might just have to pick up a few shades since I know how much I love the formula.
I have been wearing these all summer long, but I think lip gloss can be great in winter too when my lips are feeling a bit dry. Since both the shades are nude, it means that I can wear them for any occasion or season. I definitely recommend checking out these glosses if you love lip gloss or you’re after something a bit more hydrating for the upcoming colder months. There are a lot of different shades on offer as well, so there is definitely something out there for everyone.
